What is Surface Technology?

Technically, it refers to the manipulation of the surface of an implant to have a desired effect on the human body. In actuality, it's a completely revolutionary approach to interbody fusions that mimics natural bone, allowing patients to recover faster than ever thought possible. And technically, we invented all of it—even the term itself. That’s why Titan Spine’s interbody fusion devices are the only ones that have the specific proprietary textures at the macro, micro, and nano (MMN™) levels that have been shown to rapidly promote the production of bone growth factors necessary for fusion.1

So why would we design our implants to have the same microscopic and nanoscopic features as natural bone? Because after billions of years of refinement, nature has it figured out. And when it comes to the human body, natural is always better than artificial. Always.
